ŇThat combination has always appealed to me - the combination of emotion and humour. Often in our darkest moments, itŐs the humour that gets us through and I think itŐs a natural characteristic of Australians really. ItŐs again been something of a feature of my work in the sense that ŇShineÓ was a film that in addition to being very emotional was also quite funny.
